Looking at some of the items in the news, I wondered whether any of the founding fathers or any American citizen who lived prior to 1960 would recognize their country. Would they even believe what they read? Marriage is NOT between a man and a woman? Illegal aliens should be freed by the police? Keeping homosexuals out of the military is NOT a good idea? The individual in the White House hates this country and all its constitutional underpinnings? The government does its best to undermine individual rights instead of protecting them? The government wants to track what children eat in school, what is in your trash and determine if and what your health care will be?

Where and when does this stop? None of the above is America as I knew it or as I want it. America was a country where you were mostly free to do what you want as long as it did not harm others.

You went where you wanted without having to carry I.D. Of course, we did not allow illegals and sent them packing if caught. We certainly did not reward them with heath care, food stamps, education or anything else.

The "closet" was firmly (and rightfully) locked. The military was not a place for the light in the loafers crowd. You could trust the guys around you. No one had to explain that a marriage was between a man & a women, everyone knew that!

Parents were in charge of their kids, not the government. Schools were expected to teach, not be a warehouse. The teachers ran the schools, not the kids. Kids knew their limits. They would not think of doing some of the things you can see from the brats at any mall.  

The government knew its limits. They knew better than to trespass, to try to dictate what you could or must buy, to tell a parent how to raise their children and, in general, to push people too far. They knew that to do so invited a fight. Now, Americans have become sheep. The Yuppies, X-Generation or whatever the latest group is called, just want to keep a low profile and avoid conflict unless it involves the latest left wing cause. They are, go along to get along people. They seem to lack the courage of their convictions because, they have no convictions. Therefore, our rights, traditions and culture are being eroded before us.

Think about it. How would explain these things to Ben Franklin or George Washington? Could you explain them? How would you tell them "how it came to this"? What excuses would you offer? When they asked how you intend to fix things, what would you say? How would you tell them that, all their efforts, hopes and dreams were for naught? That, their careful thought and planning; their brilliant documents no longer are meaningful? That America, as the knew it and hoped for, no longer exists.

How would you tell them?

 

In war, to the extent that you are willing to sacrifice people on one side, you will save people on the other.
In other words, being concerned with "collateral damage" casualties to your enemy inevitably increases your own casualties. Of course, the opposite is also true.

If we fought the war (post war, war) the way we fought WW II, we would have bombed each Iraqi city into oblivion and then waited for the dazed survivors to stumble out. We would have continued that until they stopped fighting. What ever was left would not be capable of much mischief. If you doubt this, ask a German who was in any of their cities. Ask Japanese whose city was firebombed into non-existence. The survivors were too busy trying to do just that, survive to cause much trouble.

Our humanity is at the heart of our problems. In our quest, no compulsion to worry about the citizens of an enemy country, we handcuff our own soldiers and thereby directly cause those soldiers wounds and death. I would have thought that lesson had been learned in spades in Viet Nam. We were unwilling to do what was necessary to win and therefore did not. 

War is the unrestrained application of as much brute force as possible to the enemy forces until they are exterminated or are unable to fight. Anything less is an acceptance of self inflicted casualties on your own forces.

As a result of our misplaced humanity and unwillingness to accept the true meaning of war, we find ourselves in lengthy wars where, more casualties are suffered after victory than during the "fighting". Resistance is endless because, we did not deny them the ability to resist. They are willing to continue to fight because they have not been taught to fear us. Fear is one of the few things that everyone, even fanatics, understands. That is, if they know that harming an American or angering us in any way, absolutely results in unacceptable consequences, they will behave. "Fear" is partially imposed by the average citizens of a potential enemy imploring its "fighters" not to anger America and punishing them if they do.

What does all of the above mean? It means that, if we want to stop these mindless wars with fanatics, we must teach them to fear us because, to them, fear and respect are the same. At the next opportunity, whether is involves Iran or some other adversary, we must apply that unbridled brute force without mercy. Destruction must be so devastating that it shocks potential enemies. It must be continues without mercy until the enemy had signed a surrender. Then, and only then would it stop. Perhaps, like the Mexicans at the Alamo, we should play something like "El Degüello" before attacking. Perhaps their fear will be so intense that, knowing they will suffer a horrible fate, the enemy will surrender before the war and avoid it all together.

Strange as it seems, in the long run, this approach saves lives, particularly those of our military forces. It will, as a by product, also save many lives of potential enemies. Most importantly, it will minimize the suffering and cost for generations to come.   

 

The militia? That's you! Originally, the militia originally was the able bodied men of the area who, were expected to maintain a firearm in useable condition and ammunition and powder. They were expected to come when called to protect their community. The sheriff, to this day can do essentially the same thing. Why am I going into this?

Our nation is in danger. The basic core values of this country are being eaten away. Your constitutional rights are being taken away as we speak. The federal government is out of control. The left is in control and they chose to ignore anything that does not please them. 1st Amendment Freedom of speech? "Political Correctness" limits what you can say, what words you can use, who you may criticize and even makes the punishment for some crimes more serious if done for reasons that offend the left. The 2nd Amendment is under attack. A disarmed population is controllable and must depend on the government for any protection from crime. It also authorizes the population to remove an oppressive government by force if necessary. That is surely something the left wants to change. Property rights? Just look at how they have used eminent domain to say that, any time they (any level of government) want to take it, and for any reason, they can! Even if it is to give it to someone else! They do not want religion anywhere. Now, I am the least religious person you know but, the left only promotes the right of Moslems to spread their hate while they (Moslems) try to gain a foothold in this country in order to vote us out of our heritage. Taxes? We are being bled dry and then these fools wonder why the economy is in the tank. Obama wants the economy to tank. It was all part of his socialist training in college. Crash an economy so that, you can reset it in the form you want..ie socialism or worse. The courts? Completely out of control as liberal judges legislate from the bench. Knowing they cannot win at the voter’s booth, the left depends on these judges to bend, twist and ignore the law as needed.

Do I need to go on? The list is long and frustrating. We have a chance to change this all in November. Hopefully, we can "throw the bums out"! In addition, we need to reverse all that they have done and remove activist judges. People, who do not follow the law, do not belong there. Their job is to decide cases within the law, period. Elections must go back to paper ballots even if, it takes longer. Electronic voting booths can be manipulated. The software exists to control elections.

In 2012, we need to get Hussein and all his henchmen out and more conservatives in the House and Senate. If that happens, have we learned our lesson? Stop looking at images and listening to pie in the sky nonsense. Look at what people have done in the past and know, they will continue on the same path no matter what they say. Look for the more substantial candidates even if, they are not glamorous and have a movie star smile.

However, if all that does not happen. We simply cannot afford four more years of this. The country, the economy and our heritage is at stake. It will then be time to do what the 2nd amendment authorizes.......remove an oppressive government using whatever force is necessary. Even the military can not stand up to millions of armed citizens. I would hope they would not try. They are citizens too. I would hope minimal force would be necessary. That the people charged with protecting the officials that need to be removed would realize that their task is impossible and stand aside. Then, a temporary government could be installed pending elections.

I take no joy in recommending this course of action. I am sure that the founding fathers felt the same way when they contemplated rebellion. Most people probably thought it would get better. Most people probably were too busy making a living to think about such things. Most people were probably afraid of such an idea. Sound familiar? They did it anyway because it was the necessary course of action. You may be faced with this too. I for one will not give up my rights. I will fight for them when called to do so. I am a member of the militia; you are too.

 

Recently, a columnist (Michael Medved) wrote an article in which he delineated how the democrat party is depending on dividing us by race in order to win the next presidential election for the pretender now residing in the White House. In essence, the vast majority of blacks blindly support Obama for one and only one reason. Guess what it is! Hispanics are 2 to 2 for him also. Only a quarter of whites support Obama.

The Dems have done the math. All they have to do is keep us voting by race instead of by merit to win. To further improve their odds, they avoid immigration control and seek to legalize illegals. After all, if the odds stay the same, 2 of every 3 illegals who eventually get to vote, will be "True Believers".

This country was meant to be the "Melting Pot", where immigrants became Americans. They did this not by insisting on speaking their original language and having their children do the same, but rather by doing the opposite. They did their best to learn our national language (English) and training their children to be as American as possible. They wanted their kids to blend in to America society not, exclude themselves from it. Some of them went so far as to only speak English at home so that, their children would speak English like "real Americans". Sure many of them gravitated to ethnic neighborhoods but, they were Americans not hyphenated Americans. Any one who challenged their loyalty to this country or their "Americanism" was cruising for a punch in the nose.

My grandparents on one side and great grandparents on the other came from various places in Eastern Europe. I cannot remember thinking of myself or even the relatives who came from other countries and spoke with accents, as being anything but Americans. I never thought of any of my neighbors as anything else either. When did things go wrong? Some time in the latter 1960s when the left began to arise like swamp gas, they spread the idea of separating us into groups. The separated us by economics (class), by job type, by tax levels, by patriotism (or not), by age and most of all, by race. Then, they sub-divide those groups against each other. Remember "divide and conquer"? There it is! They pit one group against the other always offering themselves as the way to get even, to punish those who enjoy more success, to find a way to take a bite out of someone else's apple, to give them a way to do less and get more and to not contribute and enjoy the same things as those who do.

They have successfully gotten Americans to not be that. We must be XXXX-Americans. Some of those are good and some bad. Some are "Sacred Cows". Others must only say positive things about them. If you say otherwise, even if true, you are a racist. If you do not agree with Barry Obama, you are a racist. They have successfully played us against each other for their own benefit. While we spend time being jealous of each other and resenting each other and distrusting each other, their gain more and more power over us. What we must buy, how much it will cost, what we can drive, how much of our income we can keep and the list goes on expanding.

Is this what we want? Are we going to allow a group of power grabbers to pit us against each other? Is it not time we became plain Americans again? I will not be hyphenised and sub-divided. Is this America; the one your grandparents dreamed of when the left the old country? Is this what you want for your children? Is this the legacy you are proud to claim? I leave you to ponder this question. Do not dismiss it. Everyone's future depends on your answer. The choices are either to say, "There is nothing to be done, it is out of my hands and I am too busy" or, "I will not accept this and I will do what ever I can to return America to the dream." Your choice; you will have to tell the story to your kids, and their kids.

 

 

 

The 9th Circus Court of Appeals flubs another one. Who is surprised? At least they are consistent....they are always wrong.

What is the point of a referendum if it can be overruled at will by one man? The vast majority of the state's population says one thing and this left-wing bozo tries to negate the will the majority. Silly me, I thought that was the point of voting.

Let me first deal with the above. The Supreme Court needs to redefine the role and limits on the court system. A start would be to say, "A court does not have the ability to override a referendum unless the decision is so illogical that it defies common sense as understood by the average person". This will prevent activist judges from defying the will of the people. The real problem is that there is, even among the Supreme Court justices, differing opinions of their own role and the root of the law. That is, liberals vs. conservatives or those that think they can just create law because they think it is right vs. those that believe law must be rooted in the constitution. Obviously, the former are the problem. Using vague notions of "justice", of getting the "right" result, these justices just do what they want. This gives the lower courts an opening to do the same. In my opinion, a constitutional test should be part of the vetting of a judge. If they cannot pledge loyalty to the constitution, they are not qualified. With that, we will put predictability and consistency back in the law.

As to this latest debacle. Notwithstanding all the attempts of the left to twist and defile law and biology, this is a simple case.

I always go back to common sense and logic. What does the average person understand about this? What do the want? As to the latter, the vote confirms that, the vast majority of people see marriage as a man/women institution. Looking at the former. As I reflect back to the way the world was when I grew up, no one would have had to explain that; it was a give, like the sky is blue. To say something else would have labeled you silly or a fool. If we look at nature, male/female is a fact except in the simplest creatures. Pairing up, whether permanently or for the season or the moment is always male/female. That is a fact; it is common sense; it defies common sense to question it. Until a few years ago, no one did because, no one needed to explain or defend what was obvious on it's face. Those who felt differently were in the shadows as they had a position which was indefensible and knew it. Everything was as it should be. Then the left, the purveyors of all that is wrong and un-American, inexplicably began to gain power. Cutting to the chase, they pushed the homo agenda to gain a voting block. Also, because they have no scruples; the ends always justify the means and anything is okay....there are no limits or standards.

The court needs to define marriage and this issue in the proper way using nature and common sense. "If we look at nature, male/female is a fact except in the simplest creatures. Pairing up, whether permanently or for the season or the moment is always male/female. That is a fact; it is common sense; it defies common sense to question it. Until a few years ago, no one did because, no one needed to explain or defend what was obvious on it's face (seem familiar?). We now define marriage as between a male and female as it is understood by the average person and always has been understood to be that only. Any other arrangement shall not be deemed a marriage for the purposes of civil law. No such arrangement shall be entitled to be treated in any manner as though it is equal to or similar to a proper male/female marriage. No employer or legal entity shall do so. No "civil unions" shall be recognized. THIS MATTER IS SETTLED IN WHOLE." 

With that, the law and our society would be returned to the proper state; the one anyone before the 1960’s would accept as normal. We need to take back the country from those who would corrupt it and our children to drive a warped agenda.

 

Miranda rights for non-uniformed combatants? In the past, the decision was clear. If a combatant was in uniform, they were afforded the rights of the Geneva Convention. If they were not in uniform, they were shot as spies. Just as simple as that. Why is it any different now?

Putting our own military is fear of their actions in combat. Our guys now have to worry that they will be second guessed by a bunch of people who were not there! That moment of hesitation in combat can mean death. Instead of consistently giving them the benefit of the doubt, we put them through a trial?

Enforcing our long standing immigration laws is profiling? We have to even think about that?

Political correctness will be the death of this country. It debilitates everything. Our soldiers, law enforcement people, employers and our day to day actions are crippled by this concept. We need a new maxim: "Politically correct is incorrect". If we followed this, people who attacked or attempted to attack this country would be considered spies and saboteurs if non-citizens; treasonous if citizens. In either case, they would be quickly and summarily dealt with. Traitors and spies would get the treatment they so richly deserve, soldiers would be able to do their jobs with a clear mind and maybe get home unscathed and policemen would be able to enforce the laws in a sensible and efficient manner.

The immigration issue is a simple one which has been complicated by two items. Number one offender is Political Correctness. It is always there, like "the race card", for convenient use in clouding a simple issue. So-called "Profiling", a part of PC, is a favorite ploy. Let us ignore PC and be logical (they are mutually exclusive). If you are looking for a stolen red Buick, do we have to stop other makes of cars? That is what the PC folks would have you do in order to, prove you have no malice against red Buicks. If we are looking for illegal Mexicans, would we not stop people who look like such? Is it too much to ask someone to provide ID for no other reason? If there is a bank robbery and I fit the description of the robber, would the police not be justified in asking me for ID? Why do the police need another excuse to ask for ID.........because of Political Correctness. After all, we cannot take a chance on offending anyone! It is for the very same reasons that, in spite of all the inconveniences at airports, bad guys still get on the planes. It is for the very same reasons that, there are so many illegals in this country. 

The second reason PC reins is that it is being used by the Democrats and Liberals to import more votes. They figure that, if they allow all these people in, protect them, give them our money and give them citizenship............they will vote Democrat. They are probably right. Hey, they get dead people to vote every election; at least these people are alive.

What we should do is:

- Give the police and every employer the Duty to ask people who fit the profile (take that you liberals!) to provide real proof (not a drivers license) THAT THEY ARE HERE LEGALLY. If they cannot do so.........gone!

- Make every effort (and provide the assets) to find and deport illegals. We may not get them all but, most is better than none. None of this has to cost much. The forfeited assets of the illegal aliens will foot much of the bill.

- Hire more border patrol and let them do the job.

- Close the Mexican border with a real fence and plenty of people with real authority enforcing it. That does not mean "catch & release". The border is not a trout stream. Warn and shoot will be the SOP. In a short while, the Mexicans will get the message that we mean business and will stop coming. 

The Dems will scream about this but we should care as much about that as, they care about what we think - not at all! If we really want to fix the problem, the above is what it will take. If you are not willing to accept that, you really do not want to cure the illness, you just want to bandage it a little. For the first time in our history, Americans are unwilling to "Man-up". They are willing to be invaded, sabotaged and even killed without doing something about it. Do we have no pride as Americans anymore? Have the socialist finally undermined our national spirit?     What has gone wrong?  

I have not posted in quite some time. Frankly, I was so disgusted by the election that I could not say anything resembling civil. Now, I am so disgusted that my worst fears are coming true that, I have to say something.

 

Resident Obama (not a misprint - he is just the resident of the White House, not the President), is every bit as bad as I feared. Unlike Clinton, a lying two-faced political hack, this sap actually is a Marxist. His appointments are mostly Clinton retreads with, a few of his own pirates thrown in. Imagine putting the people who helped (as did Obama, Franks, Dodd and others) create and orchestrate the housing and thereby the financial crisis, in charge of fixing it! It's like putting Al Capone in charge of reducing crime. The difference is, Al was just small potatoes compared to these thieves. He was dealing with millions while, they stole billions if not trillions and, still continue to do so.

Now, they not only stole your money they are in charge of spending it! They are doing that so fast they are up to your great grandchildren's money.  

 

To make matters worse, they are using this as a way of creating an inflationary crisis (remember Liberals love crisis. It gives them a chance to "come to the rescue") so they have another excuse to amass more power and control. That, my fellow Americans is the whole point of all of this. To change this country from a republic to a socialist state whether in form or actuality. If you sit by and allow this to happen, your children and grandchildren will ask how you let their freedom slip away. A few examples:

 

Soon, as things are going, you will lose your freedom to choose your own type and kind of health care, your doctor will lose the freedom to decide how to treat you or when.

 

Your second amendment right will also be a target. Whether you choose to own firearms or not, right now you can decide for yourself. If you lose the right to defend yourself, you will be the victim of more crime and violence. Just look at Great Britain and Australia if you doubt that. As we speak, the people of England are demanding the return of their rights. Keep in mind that, all the laws in the world will not keep criminals from having weapons. They are criminals therefore, laws do not matter to them. Give up your rights and they will be the only ones with weapons!  

 

As it is, the government takes far too much of our income. Guess what is going to happen as they spend beyond our national means. Answer- they will need more money.

Where will it come from?

Amswer- Your pocket!

Is that the end of it?

Answer-No! As their overspending causes the government to print money, whatever you have left after taxes will be worth less! That's right, just when you need more you will have even less buying power than you thought.

 

Ahhhhh.........the wonders of liberalism in action!
